My journey into Chinese Medicine and Eastern philosophies began when I was young. It's taken me on a path of discovery—from studying with teachers in the remote mountains of Shandong to learning alongside experienced practitioners here in the West.
Today, I'm more excited than ever as Western science continues to explore and confirm the healing potential of acupuncture, shedding light on the very principles that have been practiced for centuries. It’s a thrilling time to be part of this unfolding dialogue, where ancient wisdom and modern insights come together.
By honoring the depth of classical texts and preserving the wisdom passed down through generations, I believe we can create the most practical and effective version of Chinese Medicine to complement Western treatment. My goal is to bring this knowledge to those looking for support—offering care that feels both grounded in tradition and fully aligned with the latest understanding of health and wellness. Together, we can explore new ways to enhance your well-being in a positive, uplifting way.
Supporting Cancer Survivors
Upon graduating in 2023 as a licensed acupuncturist from the International College of Oriental Medicine, I immediately turned my hand to the cause of oncology. I was welcomed by a community of warm hearts who afforded me the faith to assist their conditions. At this point I was profoundly unconfident in my ability to support anyone through the practice of acupuncture, and it was as much a surprise to me as it was to my patients that through simple practice and procedures there were encouraging signs of notable improvement in presenting symptoms.
Encouraged by this, and deeply humbled by the strength exhibited by those patients remaining strong in their search for wellness whilst traversing an ineffably difficult time, I felt deeply compelled to learn all that I could to better understand the condition of cancer through the lens of both western and eastern medicine and facilitate as much support as the practice of acupuncture is capable of providing.
Chinese medicine is an emerging part of integrative oncology, with research continuing to grow each month. As more studies are conducted, we're gaining valuable insight into how it may support those undergoing cancer treatment. This evolving knowledge provides an option for patients who are exploring additional ways to manage their symptoms or improve their well-being. While still early in its journey, Chinese medicine offers a thoughtful, complementary approach for those seeking to enhance their care in a gentle, supportive way.
